20th August 2015. In conjunction with the Pre-Departure Camp, Fresher’s Dinner was hosted to act as a gateway to welcome those who would be joining us in Imperial College for this coming fall. Incoming freshers were given a chance to put a face to the names that they were been communicating via social media previously as well as meeting their peers who would be joining them to Imperial College for the very first time. The Fresher Dinner were held on the 20th of August 2015, a night before the Pre-Departure Camp as it was the most optimum time for those who were in Kuala Lumpur for Fresher Camp and those who are around but would not be able to make it for the Fresher Camp. This year, the Fresher Dinner were held in BBQ Chicken in Berjaya Time Square, Kuala Lumpur. This location were chosen to ease the mode of transportation for our participants as Berjaya Time Square is in the hub of Kuala Lumpur and it has its own monorail and bus station attached to it whilst preserving participants freedom to select any meals that they desire from the menu. The entire upper floor were booked and filled by freshers all around the country as well as members of Imperial College Union Malaysian Society regardless of the year intake; with the attendance being on par with the previous Fresher Dinner.
