Briefing regarding the roles will be presented during the Ordinary General Meeting. It will be held at Pippard Lecture Theatre on the 15 February 2017 from 12:00 to 14:00 but the briefing is expected to end before 13:00, to allow time for those involved in Malaysian Night to go for rehearsals.
After nomination, you will be required to upload your manifesto onto the Union eVoting system. The deadline to do so is on 27 February 2017, 17:00. Please also email email@example.com a copy of your manifesto for the post you intend to run for latest by 27 February 2017, 23:59. Manifestos received after this will not be considered.
Your manifesto will then be uploaded on our ICUMS website and the Union page.

-Your nominator and seconder
In your manifesto, you should include a brief description of yourself, what you hope to bring to the society with your position and other information which you deem important for the elections.
Votes will only be recorded through the Union website.
The presentations of manifestos will take place over two days, namely the first and second AGMs. In the unlikely event that all presentations are completed in the first day, the second AGM will be cancelled, everyone will be notified of this.
Members are encouraged to vote fairly, and choosing to vote RON (Re-Open Nominations) if they feel that none of the candidates are suitable for the position/s and would like another nomination.
Should there be a RON (Re-Open Nominations), the committee will organise an Extraordinary General Meeting, EGM whereby elections will be carried out physically. Should there be one, details of it will be announced at a later time.
All candidates are encouraged to read the constitution and approach current committee members for more information before starting the nomination process. Past manifestos have also been uploaded on the ICUMS website for references.
Please note that only members with paid membership on the Union website can stand for elections and be admitted to our Annual General Meetings.
